RISD Human Resources and Academic Affairs are pleased to announce “RISD Development Day;” a half-day of concurrent sessions designed to encourage all employees to gain a deeper understanding of the work that takes place within our community.

President Somerson will open the day at 9:00am with remarks in the Chace Center Auditorium. Following, participants may attend up to three (3) classes facilitated by RISD faculty and staff. For example: step back in time to learn more about the “History of the Liberal Artist” at RISD with Dan Cavicchi; play “Mind Games” with Lane Myer as we explore the agility of the mind and how it works to help or hinder creativity and understanding; pop over to the Library to explore the world of “Pop-Up Books,” and create a masterpiece of your own; dive deeper into the “World of Plankton” at the Nature Lab; spend some time “Living RISD” with an experience with ResLife; explore new “Ways of Looking” at a selected work of art at the RISD Museum; and much more. The day will close at 12:30pm with a boxed lunch and remarks by Provost Sharma in the Tap Room.
